Stage 7 – 17/01/2020 : Peisey-Vallandry

Today the 7th stage of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc took place on the wonderful nordic trails of the Peisey-Vallandry ski resort. They followed a 34km long itinerary with low heigh but had to be able to manage the various turns. As they passed close to the gates of the National Parc la Vanoise, the mushers could see some chamois and ibexes.

Even if today Iker Ozkoidi (SPA) and Christian Perlwitz (FRA) won the stage in their respective category, the global ranking remains unchanged:  in the OPEN category, Remy Coste (FRA) is first, Iker Ozkoidi (SPA) is second and Aurélie Delattre (FRA) third. In the LIMITED category, Cindy Duport (FRA) is first, Christian Perlwitz (FRA) second and Tommy Cerf (FRA) third.

Today was also the beginning of the Eukanuba Trophy. 10 mushers join the race for 2 stages of La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc. Tomorrow they will take part to the mass-start in Bessans.
