Among the six mushers that subscribed to the first Arctic Alps Cup, three of them are remaining. And the struggle is really tight between those three. Before the last stage, Ketil Reitan is 5th, Daniel Juillaguet 6th and Jo Are Brennodden 7th. So far, here is the rankings, points and prize money that those three would get in the Arctic Alps Cup after La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc, if it should remain like that :
1. Ketil Reitan 25 points - 5000 Euros
2. Daniel Juillaguet 18 points - 3000 Euros
3. Jo Are Brennodden 15 points - 2000 Euros

But there is only 19 minutes between Ketil and Daniel and 15 minutes between Daniel and Jo Are. There are still 124 kilometers to be run and this ranking could be completely changed tomorrow. Juillaguet knows that he have to get as high as possible in the LGO rankings as he might not be able to take better than a 3rd place in Finnmarkslopet. Between Reitan and Brennodden, the one who will be first in the Arctic Alps Cup after La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc will be favorite for the final victory.
This last stage will be thrilling to follow as the Finnmarkslopet in march. 10 000 Euros will be shared by those three... if they managed to reach both finish lines.
