Oppsummering 9. etappe norsk

Trioen i toppen holder fortsatt dampen oppe.

Dette ble en rask etappe på ca 40 km i dag. Den gikk i den øverste delen av Val Cenis. Felles-start på skiskytterarenaen i Bessans opp til Bonneval sur Arc og ned igjen til Lanslevillard. Det var fine snøforhold i "nordiske" omgivelser, men solen varmet godt.

Dagens etappe ble en rask affære som ikke skapte de store forskjellene Martin Bily nr 1 og Radek Havrda 2. samt Milos Gonda stakk i fra tidlig, bare ca 3 min skilte disse i mål. Nr 4 ble Jean Phillipe Pontier ca 12 min. etter Bily. Pontier kjørte med 2 hunder mindre en de andre så dette var imponerende. Nr 5 Ketil Reitan rundt 13,5 min. bak. Nr 6 Jo Are Brennodden 16.38 bak og han slo Daniel Juillaguet nr7 med 3 sek. Det hører med til historien at noen av kjørerne kuttet ned i en sving og fikk ett minutts tillegg i straff.

I sammendraget har det skjedd små endringer. Radek virket sterk i dag og har den gule ledervesten ennå. Halsende bak er slovaken Milos Gonda som trener i Sverige bare 5.55 bak. På tredje er fortsatt Bily som har imponert oss her nede. Nr 4 Pontier som bor i Hodalen i Tolga holder unna for Reitan og tar stadig minutter. Så kommer Juillaguet som er ca 20 min forran Brennodden. Det er interesant å merke seg at de tre første kjører med en helt annen type hunder en de som følger bak. Dette kan bli spennende på de tolv milene som er igjen. Pontier er 45 min bak Bily og med franskmannens langdistansehunder skal ikke Bily gjøre mange feil før Pontier er der.  Er en del taktikk blandt spesielt de fire første  nå, Så med flaks kan Pontier ennå klare 3. plass. Om ikke noe helt spesielt skjer kan det bli vanskeligere for Reitan Juillaguet og Brennodden som er ganske langt bak. I morgen går første del av siste etappe, så venter en ny overnatting på fjellet før de i 7 - tiden neste morgen fortsetter med en runde på fjellet før de kommer i mål i Lanslebourg. Vi er med på live web fra ca 16.30 da starten går i Bonnevalle sur Arc.

Jo Are is from a succesful mushing familly. His father Kjell is one of the best long-distance mushers in Norway. His brother Ola has won the Femundlopet 500 in 2008. Jo Are took a great 4th place in La Grande Odyssee Savoie Mont Blanc 2009. He received also the friendliest musher award.
