Robert Sorlie knows already La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc as he was the 2009 runner-up.  In 2010, he was there again but a strain in the first stage forced him to scratch. He stayed to follow the race as the race direction allaowed his handler Benoît to run his team instead of him (but out of the rankings). Do we can say that Mr Femundlopet feels at home here. It was a pleasure to see him again as interested as ever in top competitive racing.

It was also a great honor to welcome the 2009 Finnmarkslopet champion. Inger Maarie Haaland was here to meet EUKANUBA teams and to follow the race during two days. Asked if she's considering running La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc in the future, she answered: "That's why I'm here !" After 2009 when Sigrid Ekran ran a great race, Inger Maarie could be the next great female champion to enter LGO. She told us that LGO would perfectly fit for many female mushers from Norway. We hope to welcome many of them !

Mushing is one very special sport where male and female run in the same categories and often women are champions. We're looking forward to having the first female LGO Champion.
