After his victory in 2009, Radek Havrda is back again on the top of the rankings. It will be tough for the others to block him on his way to become the first two-time LGO champion. But don't count out to soon Milos Gonda, the proud newcomer in the Team Lapland, which Ketil Reitan is also a member. Milos is running some dogs from Taisto Thorneus, the swedish member of the Team but mostly dogs he bred himself. The smiling slovak has already shown that his training was right and efficient. Some may question his ability to keep his pace and his place. But they may be the same who questionned Radek Havrda until he won in 2009. Regarding the fact that those two mushers training plans are designed by the same guy, Milos shall stay a strong contender for the podium until the end of the race.

Jean-Philippe Pontier, third, is one of those you can be a threat for the Czecho-slovakian leaders. His move to Norway seems to have helped him make a big step forward. He is now able to fight for the podium. Waiting for the longer stage to come, he knows that his time is still to come. He can rely on the total support from the french audience. It's been a long time since a french musher hasn't been on the top of the ranking. And if a french guy could win LGO sooner or later, Pontier is definitely that guy.
