Those controls have been done by the LGO Vet Team (7 veterinarians) and by the AFLD (French agency against doping). Those controls are done on urine or blood taken on dogs randomly chosen or out of the team winning the stage.

"Those results show that the respect for the animals is the real engine of the mushers passion ; the fact that the AFLD does those controls confirm that La Grande Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc is watched and taken really seriously as a great sport competition " says Dominique Grandjean, race director and professor at the National Veterinarian School of Alfort.
