Les Portes du Soleil - France & Switzerland

At only an hour’s drive from Geneva Airport, the winter playground also known as the Portes du Soleil encompasses 12 interlinked resorts either side of the Franco-Swiss border:

  • In France: Abondance, Avoriaz, Châtel, La Chapelle d'Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine-Avoriaz, St Jean d'Aulps;
  • In Switzerland: Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Val-d'Illiez - Les Crosets – Champoussin.

For ease, one single lift pass is valid throughout this massive Alpine wonderland. There’s an almost mind-boggling 650km of marked runs to do with Lake Geneva in the distance one way and Mont Blanc in the other.

But how about the snow? The Portes du Soleil has an excellent snow record, with nearly 9 metres of powder falling up top from November to April.

The size of the ski area means there’s something for everyone, from families to high-mileage carvers, freeriders and freestylers (with 9 snowparks to choose from).

Check out this winter’s new lift pass offers, including the “Family Pass”: 2 adults and 2 children under 18 years = 616€ for 6 days instead of 684€.

Each of the 12 resorts has special all-inclusive offers valid all season, available online at www.portesdusoleil.com
