The intense effort in snow and cold weather is not bearable for just any dog. As a matter of fact, if all dogs love running and if all dogs like to be harnessed to a sled or to pull a heavy load, only a few of them can resist temperatures as cold as -20°C and on such long distances. 

Not necessarily all Nordic, but all well adapted to tough conditions, those dogs are truly exceptional. They deserve to be noticed by the public like the true athletes they are and not only for their pretty blue eyes!
